Applus+ implements an integrated team model for high-risk inspections at the Karratha Gas Plant

Applus+ has been tasked with a comprehensive scope of inspection and engineering services essential for the maintenance and refurbishment of the Woodside-operated Karratha Gas Plant.

Applus+ will leverage its extensive expertise to address the full scope of the Karratha Life Extension (KLE) refurbishment project. They will tackle challenges using advanced techniques such as non-destructive testing, in-service pressure vessel inspections, coating and welding inspections, and rope access inspections. Additionally, their engineering services, metallurgical analysis, and drone capabilities will ensure comprehensive and efficient solutions for the project’s complex requirements.

Integrated Team Approach

To meet these challenges, Applus+ employs an innovative integrated team model. This model embeds their experts within Woodside’s on-site teams, fostering seamless collaboration.

The Applus+ team deployed to KGP includes:

• Management and Administration: Site Operations Manager, Site Coordinator, Site Administrator, Contract Administrator, Senior HSEQ Advisor, and Quality Manager.
• Inspection and QA/QC: AICIP/API Inspectors, NDT Technicians, Rope Access Technicians, QA/QC Inspectors, NACE-certified inspectors, UAS Pilots, and CUI/RBI specialists.
• Inspection and QA/QC: Senior Engineers, Engineers, Graduate Engineers, External Corrosion Administrators, and Non-Site Engineering Resources.
