Applus+ successfully completes vendor surveillance for Santos Ltd.’s Decommissioning Project

This project was a collaborative effort involving multiple Applus+ departments, including Quality, Engineering, Inspectors, Production, Project, and Commissioning. The Applus+ team in Australia completed a visual inspection of the rigging and welding equipment and witnessed welder qualifications before transferring to the Fabrication Yard in Batam.  

Key aspects of the project execution included: 

• Planning and monitoring: detailed planning, execution, and monitoring ensured all processes were aligned with Santos' expectations. 

• Communication: timely and transparent communication was maintained with all stakeholders to address potential issues proactively. 

• Quality assurance: Applus+'s quality representatives inspected the rigging and welding equipment as well as the welder’s qualifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards. 

• Safety: the project was completed with zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI), underscoring Applus+’s commitment to safety. 

The Applus+ team achieved full material traceability ensuring high quality and compliance standards. This decommissioning project for Santos marked a significant milestone by completing on time and meeting all requirements through continuous communication and transparency.
