At Applus+ we have been providing water management and conservation services for over 25 years guaranteeing water protection and preservation as a key element of the environment.

We are committed to the water and sanitation sustainable development goal through actions intended to improve water resources management, water quality, and ecosystem protection and restoration. We have broad experience in business projects promoting the water cycle circularity, incorporating the different social players in making decisions on water management.

Our goals are focused on protecting the seas, rivers, lakes, aquifers, and groundwater, fighting diffuse pollution, flood risk management, wastewater treatment, and sewerage, and promoting sustainable economic activities.

We provide advice in preparing water management strategies, supply vulnerability and constraints studies, water footprint calculation, applications for ecological flow and discharge authorizations, inventories, technical and economic audits and campaigns for flow measurement in supply networks, hydrodynamic modelling for the evolution of coastal and inland contaminants, studies of flood-prone areas, drafting of energy projects and audits in purification plants, robotic inspection in pipelines, rainwater pollution prevention plans, marine pollution prevention plans in response to discharge from land into the sea, reduced water consumption studies, and environmental communication and education actions.

At Applus+, we supply, install, commission, and maintain environmental monitoring intelligent systems to measure different environmental parameters, such as water quality, temperature, pH, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen concentration, and the presence of contaminants.

Applus+ has developed the AmbiensQ Suite technological platform. Using real-time communication systems, this platform provides environmental data to users, enabling data visualization and management in real-time, viewed on any device with internet access, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, or screens.

In addition, in the Environmental Inspection Area of Applus+, we have the accreditations required as a laboratory and inspection body for on-site water quality sampling and measurements (wastewater, inland water, marine waters, groundwater, drinking water), transmarine pipeline monitoring, continuous monitoring network development, calibration of automatic measurement systems, and the development of solutions to improve water quality.

Our chemical and biological analysis laboratories take seawater samples and identify and quantify phytoplankton in marine waters and benthic macroinvertebrates in marine sediments (environmental status).

Applus+ also has a service for providing environmental brigades with human and material resources specialized in providing a quick response in the event of environmental accidents. The environmental brigade service is part of the quick-intervention environmental tasks that seek to prevent and implement actions in the event of an environmental emergency, mainly discharges into a water environment.
