Recognised for meeting the skills and standards of the engineering construction industry (ECI), Applus+ has joined the highest rank of membership a company can receive.

The Laboratories Division has been recognised as key innovator by the European Commission, and added to its ‘Innovation Radar’ platform for its contributions to the European Horizon 2020 "Nanofacturing" project.
The Division’s experts have developed two new scalable processes for the synthesis of ligands, substances necessary for the production of nanoparticles used in nano-medicine.

The Applus+ composite materials centre of excellence in Shanghai (China) is one of the 15 laboratories, from over 100 assessed by Airbus, to have obtained the Merit recognition.
In 2020, the Shanghai laboratory also obtained an equivalent recognition from NADCAP, the international organisation in charge of evaluating and accrediting suppliers for the aerospace sector.

The Galician Society of Civil Engineers (Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos de Galicia) organises the San Telmo Awards every two years to honour the best engineering works in Galicia.
The conversion of the CG 4.1 Corridor into a dual carriageway was rewarded with the second prize. The jury valued how the project shortened the route and improved road safety, respecting the environment and landscape at all times during construction.
Applus+ Blueprint Designer Óscar Catoira Daquinta was recognised for his work as creator of one stretch of the project.

In October 2019, experts at the IDIADA Division were recognised with the Best Paper Award at the ITS World Congress in Singapore for their technical paper "Improving safety of vulnerable road users by addressing barriers of current Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems", which presented the results of the collaborative research European project PROSPECT (PROactive Safety for PEdestrians and CyclisTs).

Airbus and Nadcap have given a Merit rating to the Applus+ Group's materials laboratory in Illescas (Spain).
Both recognitions acknowledge the laboratory’s excellence, competence, and technical expertise, as well as the quality of its processes and customer service.

The Applus+’ IT Lab in Shanghai (China) won in 2019 the Visa Award for Best Performance for Testing Services of Chip Card Acceptance Device Products at the Visa Chip Vendor Forum in Foster City (USA).
Receiving the award for the third consecutive year, the recognition confirms the Group’s Shanghai IT Lab as a global benchmark in testing services for electronic payment systems.

Applus+ in the Netherlands received the "Latest Gadget" award from the Measurement Technology Department of Europe's largest refinery in 2018 for its innovative use of thermographic technique research.
The award followed a trial project, which successfully demonstrated the benefits of thermography to the client. This research is currently applied daily in large-scale Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) projects.

The paper by Applus+ on "3D Tracking Technology for HIC Calculation and Restraint Systems Improvement" was awarded Best International Technical Report at the 2018 SAE Brazil Congress.

Shell Pernis, the biggest refinery in Europe, has recognised Applus+ with a Commercial award for the development and utilisation of PU12, a new tool for remote visual inspection of complex pipe racks. The PU12 was developed in response to the client’s need to inspect on plot piping safely and efficiently.
This is the second award for Applus+ in Netherlands, following its 2017 win with CU24.

In April 2018, Applus+ was selected as Prelude Contractor of the Month for a proactive approach to safety. The Prelude Project represents the first deployment of Shell’s Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) technology and it is located approximately 475 km north-east of Broome, Western Australia.
In addition to this recognition, the team was awarded a monetary prize, which was donated to Cancer Council. This is the only charity in Australia to provide a variety of services across all aspects of cancer, from research to providing support.
