Outstanding projects by Applus+ for the electricity sector in Latin America

In Brazil, Applus+ carried out site inspections for a major electricity distribution company. The project included inspection and standardisation services on distribution networks for overhead or underground low-voltage electrical power in different geographical areas of the distributor's concession area.

Applus+ also provided technical services for the development of low- and medium-voltage projects in Chile for a major power-distribution client. These projects included the upgrade of networks, the relocation of overhead and underground networks, and basic and detailed engineering services for network extensions and upgrades.

In Colombia, Applus+ participated in the review, standardisation and detection of anomalies in special-metering electrical installations at low- and medium-voltage, and provided specialised personnel services for a major electricity distributor in the country. 

Applus+ was also responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of 188 high-voltage substations at voltage levels of 110 kV, 66 kV, 34.5 kV and 13.8 kV, with scheduled maintenance, new assemblies, adaptations, electrical studies and other emergency activities arising, covering protection, remote control, operation and electromechanical maintenance.
