Applus+ has been granted a two-year extension to its contract with NERTUS, a company specialized in railway maintenance, with a focus on inspecting AVE (high-speed rail) units operating between Madrid and Barcelona, as well as suburban units in Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona.
The agreement revolves around ultrasonic inspection and other non-destructive testing of critical components such as axles, wheels, and bearings of trains maintained by NERTUS. The services encompass on-site testing, evaluation according to the applicable standard NTM 1031.202.00, and the preparation and distribution of detailed reports to the client. Additionally, Applus+ will ensure rigorous quality control over the performed works.
The works will be conducted at NERTUS workshops in La Sagra (Toledo), Santa Catalina (Madrid), and the BMAV Renfe Barcelona Can Tunis. Applus+ will employ state-of-the-art equipment for these inspections, thereby ensuring precision and efficiency in each process.
With extensive experience in railway projects, Applus+ excels in both conventional and high-speed lines. We offer comprehensive services ranging from platform inspection to track assessment, power systems, as well as safety and communication facilities worldwide.
The renewal of this collaboration agreement underscores NERTUS' confidence in Applus+ as a strategic partner to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in the railway sector.
