Applus+ in Italy has been awarded the accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17020:2012 as Inspection Body type "A" by the Italian Accreditation Body (ACCREDIA).
This new accreditation is an important milestone for our Italian inspection business, underlining Applus+ commitment to deliver recognised quality services, procedures, and programmes.
The accreditation for inspection activities of type A covers the metallic materials field in Italy and has 4-year validity. The range of this accreditation includes destructive and non-destructive testing, as MT, PT, UT, RT, or VT in service and initial (before use) stages.
Applus+ provides an extensive range of inspection services for upstream, midstream and downstream sectors, including both onshore and offshore projects, and this new accreditation lays the foundation for continually improving operations by standardising the Quality processes for the inspection services and by periodically monitoring their performance.
The achievement of obtaining the ISO/IEC 17020:2012 accreditation is clear proof of Applus+ commitment to developing inspection services in Italy.
