Applus+ in Italy expands its service portfolio with the awarding of a new HSQE project

Applus+ will provide comprehensive support including the preparation of the Health and Safety Plan, the processing of the opening of the Work Centre, and the authorisation of the Subcontracting Book during the installation of a client’s transformer. It will also provide technical assistance to comply with the health and safety documentary requirements on the client’s Business Activity Coordination (CAE) platform.

Prior to the start of the installation, Applus+ will collect the necessary data to perform these tasks and electronically complete the form required by the provincial labour authority. Applus+ will then manage the Subcontracting Book authorisation process, delivering the document to the client once it has been approved.

To ensure a high-quality service, Applus+ will assign a specialised health and safety (HSE) technician to prepare the Health and Safety Plan in accordance with Spanish legislation. This plan will analyse, develop and implement all safety measures based on the specific work execution system. It will also incorporate any alternative prevention measures proposed by the contractor, as long as they maintain the required level of protection.

The Applus+ HSE technician in charge of this project will be responsible for performing on-site inspections and acting as a preventive resource in hazardous situations (such as electrical hazards, underwater work, work at heights, movement of heavy loads and prefabricated elements, etc.), as dictated by legislation or as outlined in the Health and Safety Plan. They will also be tasked with verifying the correct completion of works and maintenance of on-site safety measures, preparing the required appendices and/or revisions to the Health and Safety Plan during execution, and supporting compliance with health and safety documentary requirements on the end client’s activity coordination platform.
