Applus+ in Italy signed a contract for land scouting activities with a Spanish energy company

Under this partnership, Applus+ is set to play a pivotal role in identifying ideal land locations for the deployment of the client's renewable energy systems and facilitating the ensuing land acquisition process.

In October 2023, Applus+ started the first campaign providing land prosecution services, land survey, and contract management for the construction of photovoltaic systems and related installations. This contract has been signed for two years, with an additional option year to extend the partnership further.

The client has identified key areas of interest in several Italian regions, including Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Emilia Romagna, and Tuscany. Applus+ experts will carry out the work through a structured process:

• Scouting and selection: Applus+ will identify and select lands that, due to their intrinsic and environmental characteristics, could be feasible for the realization of renewable energy projects.
• Negotiation and agreements: Applus+ will acquire the owners' details and will proceed with the negotiation of the necessary agreements with the landowner.
• Land acquisition and rental: Once the search phase is completed, contracts for the acquisition or rental of land can be concluded between the landowner and the client.
