Applus+ in Saudi Arabia secures rig services contract with drilling company ADES

    Applus+ in KSA has been awarded a significant contract by ADES to perform comprehensive Rig inspection, audits and rig commissioning services for its onshore and offshore rigs in Saudi Arabia. The contract includes full inspection services for ADES's entire onshore fleet of 11 rigs, along with a Master Service Agreement (MSA) for the blue sticker safety and compliance inspection of offshore rigs.

    Under the new agreement, Applus+ will provide a wide range of inspection services, including:





     

    • Below the hook with NDT Services: Non-destructive testing (NDT) for various below-the-hook lifting equipment, such as slings, shackles or hook.
    • Above the hook blue sticker inspection: Thorough inspections to ensure drilling equipment, including rigs, meets industry standards for safety, reliability, and environmental protection.
    • DROPS survey: Detailed assessments to prevent dropped objects, ensuring the safety and integrity of rig operations.
    • Rope access services: Utilizing highly trained rope access technicians to perform inspections in challenging locations.
    • NDT services for drilling handling tools and hoisting tools: Specialized inspections of critical drilling and hoisting equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
    • Other equipment inspections: Covering a broad spectrum of rig components to maintain the highest safety standards.
