Applus+ organises Technical Seminars on Power Transformers and Reactors for Spanish energy sector benchmarks

One of the speakers was renowned transformer design review expert Álvaro Portillo. With an outstanding career in the development of advanced methods and software for the design of this equipment, Portillo shared his experience in design and development for manufacturers in South America and in his role as an independent consultant for international electrical utility companies. 

More than 60 representatives from almost twenty companies, including important representatives from the transport, distribution and renewable energy sectors, were present at this event held in Galicia. The diversity of attendees reflected the interest and relevance of the topics discussed, as well as the need to address current challenges in the field of power transformers and ballasts.

The main objective of the seminars was to provide the necessary foundations for the development of sound technical specifications and the performance of effective design reviews on this critical equipment for the operation of electrical systems.
