Applus+ participates as a leading company in road infrastructures management services at the XVI Road Maintenance Conference in Spain

19/11/2021

The Spanish Technical Road Association (ATC, its acronym in Spanish), together with the Association of Companies for the Maintenance and Exploitation of Infrastructures (ACEX, its acronym in Spanish) organised the XVI Road Maintenance Conference on the 26, 27 and 28 of October in Seville.

Applus+ presented PAV-DT at the conference, an innovative international project financed by the European Union and managed in collaboration with a consortium of companies. The presentation of this disruptive technology formed part of talks that took place at the conference where, together with experts in the sector, we were able to showcase and share initiatives aimed at improving roads and traffic, which will lead to a more sustainable, safe and interconnected future.

Alberto Martínez Navarro, leader of the department of Pavement Management of Applus+, explained to the attendees the characteristics and advantages of PAV-DT. It is a low-cost device that allows the vehicles circulating on roads to collect information about the state of the pavement in real time. Once the data is collected, the information is sent to a server which provides the latest available data about the pavement to infrastructure companies that manage and maintain the state of the roads.  This information allows them to take any necessary actions to effectively maintain the infrastructure of roads.

With over 30 years of experience in the area of construction and infrastructure, Applus+ has shown in this Conference its firm commitment to developing innovative solutions that guarantee the success of its clients in every project.
