Applus+ strengthens position in Egypt within the Telecommunications sector

The impetus for the new department came after winning a major contract with Nokia, one of the leading telecommunications service providers in Egypt. This contract covers the management of projects for the construction and maintenance of mobile telephone facilities for the client, as well as the implementation of operations for two of the main telephone operators in the country.

The consolidation of the Applus+ Group’s presence in the region , through this business line, has been a challenge. Our progress has involved the hiring of new technical profiles, the management of complex projects, the fulfilment of demanding security requirements from the client, and the reorganisation of the internal infrastructure of the company to incorporate a strong department with a large volume.

The new contract covers many regions of Egypt, so we have collaborated with a number of external partners, and internal teams have been deployed throughout the country. The service knowledge delivered by our professionals draws from other national projects deploying over 90.000 km of mobile and fibre optic networks, as well as from our global consulting services and telecommunications project management.
