Applus+ in Turkey will participate in a significant oil and gas project for an NDT company, delivering the digital radiographic service and training for technicians to use advanced tools such as RTD Rayscan™, a technology owned by Applus+.
Three pipelines of approximately 60 kilometers and a wall thickness of 10 inches, will be inspected by a trained technical team using digital X-ray equipment, which also will convert the data into a high-resolution digital image thanks to a single scan through RTD Rayscan™.
Real-time digital radiography (RTR) systems, such as Rayscan, promote faster work cycles. Also, they are more profitable and safer, while being more environmentally friendly because they do not require chemical waste management. In addition, RTR delivers analysis quickly, allowing a better definition for identifying and evaluating the indicators to be inspected.
