On 22 and 23 May, Applus+ will take part in the 6th edition of the International Congress of Safety in Ports, which will be held at the Afundación headquarters in A Coruña, Spain.
This year’s event focuses on the theme “Green Molecule Safety”. This approach, which highlights the importance of renewable energy sources in the port industry, reflects the sector’s commitment to sustainability and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. In this context, Applus+ will give a speech explaining its vision on how digitalisation and predictive maintenance can contribute to improving safety in ports, in line with the move towards a greener and more sustainable economy.
Gonzalo Veiras, Head of Technology and Digitalisation in Electricity Networks at Applus+, will be in charge of giving this presentation.
Like in previous editions, a great response is expected from the sector to this Congress, with the active participation of institutions, technical experts and companies specialising in industrial safety. This high level of interest reflects the growing recognition of ports as fundamental pillars of the economy, a role that deserves to be highlighted.
Likewise, addressing port safety from a broad perspective is crucial in all port processes and operations, becoming even more relevant in the current context of energy transition and technological advances where efficiency is essential.
