Applus+ in Spain starts providing quality control and inspection services to the construction of the multi-purpose pipeline between Punta Langosteira and the A Coruña refinery

    Applus+ has recently started providing quality control and construction supervision services for the unloading of crude oil at the Outer Port of Punta Langosteira in A Coruña, Spain. This project is set within the Framework Agreement for the 2020-2022 period, in which Repsol awarded Applus+ the services of monitoring, inspection and diagnostic of various industrial complexes of the company in Spain and Portugal.

    The project to move the crude oil operations to the outer port of Punta Langosteira includes a coastal development, the construction of a multi-purpose pipeline and its auxiliary facilities, as well as modifications of some of the industrial facilities of the refinery.

    The scope of the contract includes inspecting the construction works, managing contracts and cost control, as well as inspecting the anti-corrosive paint and protection.
