Applus+ in Germany has successfully tested and inspected the new water supply pipeline as part of a construction project at the waterworks that will supply a German city. This project includes the construction of a modern building equipped with high-performance pumps and generators. Additionally, new pipelines with dimensions of DN800 and DN1000 are being installed to ensure a long-term water supply for the region.
Radiographic testing (RT) and ultrasonic testing (UT) were utilized to ensure the quality and safety of the pipelines. These non-destructive testing (NDT) methods provide thorough and accurate assessments to examine the internal structure and components of internal defects, such as cracks, deformations, voids, inclusions or other discontinuities that are not visible on the surface. Providing the highest pipeline integrity assessment without causing any damage, we ensure the pipelines operate safely and efficiently.
Applus+ has more than 85 years of experience in pipeline integrity projects. Next to our traditional NDT methods, Applus+ also uses advanced NDT methods such as Real-Time Radiography (Rayscan), Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD), and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT). These techniques offer high accuracy and efficiency in detecting defects and ensuring the quality of welds and materials.
Applus+ earned a high client praise, building trust and securing future collaborations, strengthening our position as a reliable partner in essential infrastructure projects.
