Applus+ has signed an agreement with ONCE Foundation (Spanish entity supporting the disabled) to promote the employment of people with disabilities in the next four years. The collaboration is part of Inserta, the program that ONCE Foundation is developing alongside the European Social Fund and Iniciativa de Empleo Juvenil, an initiative coordinated by the Spanish Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.
The agreement follows in the same line of the Group’s efforts to promote diversity. Unlike companies that try to fulfil their disability quotas just with external donations, the Applus+ Spain workforce more than meets the 2% required by Spanish Law.
Applus+ currently employs 393 disabled people, noteworthy for an engineering Company.
The agreement with ONCE Foundation includes the promotion of indirect actions supporting the employment of people with disabilities, such as collaborating with work centres for the disabled.
This way, Applus+ joins Foro Inserta Responsable, a network to share practices and experiences for the employment of people with disabilities.
