The new accreditation covers testing services to comply with the essential requirements of the new Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU.
Applus+ Laboratories has achieved ENAC ISO 17025 accreditation to test wireless equipment. With this new accreditation, Applus+ widens its portfolio of testing services for telecom electric/electronic devices and systems for Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine M2M.
These tests assure equipment compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluate their reliability and ensure interoperability with other interconnected devices. Nowadays, connectivity technologies for wireless devices are diverse (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, etc.) and may coexist in the same device. Devices must ensure multiple and reliable connections with different use case scenarios.
As an accredited laboratory, Applus+ provides a wide service portfolio for Wireless, EMC and Safety testing, aimed at obtaining a high level of reliability and performance in wireless devices.
Our laboratories provide conformity tests for the following wireless technologies:
- Short-range devices (up to 40GHz)
- RFID, NFC, and other wireless equipment for generic IOT and network applications
- Mobile phone connectivity: 2G/3G/4G
- WLAN / WPAN / Broadband Wireless Devices: 2,4/5GHz Wi-Fi, BLE, Bluetooth, ZigBee, etc.
- Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)
Customized tests and interoperability tests
Applus+ can develop customized tests according to client needs to reproduce critical functionality situations and failure modes that may be difficult to detect with standard tests.
Additionally, we conduct interoperability tests aimed at ensure a device’s ability to connect with any other device in different scenarios (different devices, multiple connections, weak signals, critical environment, etc.). Our services help to improve product time-to-market, reduce costs and reinforce your brand.
