Since 2021, Applus+ has been part of the Ibex Gender Equality Index, a new index created by BME (Spanish Stock Exchanges and Markets) to measure the presence of women holding management positions in companies.
The 30 listed companies on the index have board of directors comprising between 25% and 75% women and in senior management positions between 15% and 85%. Applus+ is one of the few listed companies in Spain with 40% of the Board of Director represented by women. We are proud of this position, and the progress underpins our passion for improving towards a more inclusive and equal future.
The Ibex Gender Equality Index is evidence of the growing importance of gender equality in society. The index’s composition is reviewed annually based on information from the Annual Corporate Governance Report prepared by the CNMV.
The new index aims to promote equality among Spanish listed companies. Inclusion in the index recognises the effort that companies committed to gender equality are making to improve the actual representation and participation of women within each organisation.
