Applus+ Laboratories will take part as an exhibitor at the upcoming JEC World in Paris, France. The event, held March 6-8, will bring together the key players in the composite materials industry. Applus+ will present:
- Its testing services for carbon fibre structures and materials.
- Its engineering solutions for the development of non-destructive testing systems for CFRP components.
- A+ Glide Forming, its innovative forming technology for aircraft stringers manufacturing.

A leading laboratory in carbon fibre materials and structures testing
Applus+ is one of the world’s most important composite materials testing laboratories.
We work for the aerospace, wind power, automotive, rail and construction industries.
Our network of laboratories is Nadcap accredited for mechanical, physical, thermal and non-destructive tests on composite materials. We also have Nadcap accreditation for test specimen manufacturing.
Applus+ has a mechanical and structural testing laboratory specialised in mid-to-high loads (up to 15 MN). We carry out static (uniaxial) and fatigue (uniaxial and multiaxial) testing on components and subcomponents.
We’re one of the world’s leading laboratories for structural tests on carbon fibre panels for the aerospace industry.
Automated non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment
Applus+ designs and manufactures state-of-the-art automated NDT equipment. We develop robotic and gantry systems capable of inspecting large carbon fibre components with complex geometries (up to 32-axis).
Applus+ provides co-location solutions for production-based NDT inspection services. To achieve this, Applus+ co-locates machines and inspectors in customer facilities to conduct customised NDT programs.
Stringer manufacturing: A+ glide forming
Applus+ has developed a new stringer manufacturing process to provide a versatile, high-productivity and low-investment forming solution. This manufacturing process, A+ Glide Forming, can be applied to different composite materials such as thermoset prepregs, thermoplastic prepregs and dry preforms for RTM.
