Applus+ has begun to provide specialised training for designing, adapting, inspecting, installing and maintaining equipment and facilities affected by explosive atmospheres (ATEX, its acronym in Spanish) based on the IsmATEX benchmark. This new training service, which will be offered by the department of Serious Accidents, was included in Applus+ portfolio thanks to the company's incorporation of a group of trainers authorised by the French notified body INERIS.
The IsmATEX training is aimed at those companies that have facilities with ATEX, and it will be provided to the people in charge of designing, inspecting or maintaining equipment in environments with the potential presence of explosive atmospheres, pursuant to the regulation for testing activities of ATEX equipment. The certifications are valid for three years and they are applicable to every stage of the life cycle of the facilities.
The course will be in person and will include practical training carried out at the facilities of the client so that students can evaluate the lessons and address real cases that may occur on a day-to-day basis.
