Shanghai laboratory offers complete Contactless D-PAS Terminal testing service
Applus+ Laboratories has been accredited by Discover to carry out Contactless D-PAS Reader Application and Contactless D-PAS Reader Application Cross Testing on contactless payment terminals at its laboratory in Shanghai. With this accreditation, Applus+ can now offer a complete service for Contactless D-PAS payment terminals, offering L2 and cross-testing (interoperability) services from its China-based lab.
ROBOTIC CROSS-TESTING SYSTEM
Cross-testing is used to verify that a payment terminal can successfully complete transactions in a variety of situations. Transactions are carried out using a series of different smartcards at a range of heights and angles from the terminal, to ensure that it works properly in real life situations. Applus+ Laboratories uses an automated robotic system to carry out cross-testing on terminals for Discover, a proprietary system which is already in place for other payment schemes. This automated interoperability testing system helps Applus+ to deliver faster and more reliable test campaigns.
Unique combined terminal testing services with Applus+
Applus+ is the only lab in China to offer a combined Visa, Discover, Amex, EMVCo L2 Contact and EMVCo L1 contactless testing package. Using a single lab to carry out multiple evaluations in parallel can reduce the duration of evaluations and improve time to market for payment terminal vendors.
