Applus+ Norcontrol, through Ingelog, the company acquired by the division in 2014, has been awarded in Colombia with the “II Premio Nacional de Interventorías 2015”, concessions section.
The company, a member of the Interconcesiones consortium, is currently carrying out the construction supervision of the Ibagué-Girardot-Cajamarca road concession, with an origin-destination length of 95 kms, for the Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura (ANI). This corridor is very important for the country's development, as it connects the center in the Tolima Department and integrates the Bogotá-Buenaventura road corridor in the Colombian Pacific port area.
The panel of judges, composed of experts in business development, recognize with this distinction the firm’s management and good practices in the
construction supervision, highlighting the monitoring and control processes that ensure the success of the transport infrastructures development projects under concession in the Andean country.
There has also been a new contract awarded in Colombia for which Applus+ INGELOG will supervise the construction, operation and maintenance of a new road between Chirajara and the Fundadores intersection, with an origin-destination estimated length of 22.6 kms, and a development length of 32.46 kms, through the Cundinamarca and Meta departments; and the operation and maintenance of the Bogotá-Villavicencio corridor, with an origin-destination length of 85.6 kms and 174 kms of development.
