The Energy & Industry Division of Applus+ has been exploring the Algerian market since 2014. The activity started in the country in 2015 with the signing of an international contract with the Ministère des Travaux Publics et des Transports for the control and monitoring of the 62 kilometres of highway between Relizane and Mostaganem.
In a second phase of diversification of its activities in the country, a local Algerian law company was created in 2018. This new creation will allow Applus+ access to new sectors of activity, such as Oil and Gas, Telecommunications or port operations. Consequently, Applus+ could win new contracts in the domestic market.
In this context and as a basis of these development activities, our offices located on the modern Algerian Business Centre have been inaugurated in April 2019. It joins to the project´s offices in Hassi Messaud, main area of Upstream, Mindstream and Downstream activities of Oil and Gas at the South of the country.
In addition to that, thanks to the participation of Applus+ in the last edition of NAPEC, the largest Oil and Gas Exhibition & Conference in Africa, we have been able to establish new connections with key local companies that have already visited our new facilities and could become potential partners.
