Applus+ Velosi displayed its Pipeline Rehabilitation services in Oman

    The event is part of an intense campaign to promote our pipeline services in the region.

    Applus+ Velosi collaborated as the only Event Guide sponsor in the 2nd Annual Drainage Rehabilitation & Wastewater Management Summit, that was held on September 7th-8th in Oman.
     
    Our company’s main focus was to promote our Pipeline Rehabilitation services through the exhibition area prepared for the ocassion. The event gathered drainage, wastewater, flood control, dam design and construction specialists from all around the globe. It is the largest meeting of its kind in Oman, with around 250 people attending the conference and showing their interest for the exhibitors.
     
    The set of speeches aimed at discussing and implementing strategies to design, construct, operate and maintain effective drainage and sewerage networks in Oman, including flood risk analysis, innovations in flood management, dam modeling and construction, etc.
     
     
    One of our representatives was Niels Ole Soerensen, Regional Business Development Manager for Middle East, who presented the benefits of our services which allow rehabilitation of complete pipelines, or parts of them, that would otherwise have to be excavated and replaced. One of the main advantages of Applus+ Velosi’s service is that it does not require excavation, since the new liner is installed through a manhole or other existing access points. This offers huge time and cost savings, especially in city areas with heavy traffic.
     
    The summit was also attended by government and local authorities, such as representatives from the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, Muscat Municipality, Haya Water, and the National Survey Authority - Ministry of Defense.
