Applus + Norcontrol participates with a presentation at the 23rd Vyodeal Congress

    The company will show a new high-performance equipment that allows inventorying any element of the road network.

    Applus + Norcontrol participates at the 23rd Vyodeal Congress (National Symposium Way and Works of Local Administration) to be held in Tenerife from 16 to 18 March 2016.
    We are focused on the control and improvement of the road safety levels, so we are constantly searching for new methods and equipment that help our customers to achieve greater performance of their services.

    The purpose of this speech is to show the new high-performance equipment, existing on the market, combining the acquisition of digital images of high resolution 360 and the geometric characteristics of the road to obtaining the point cloud geo-referenced the road and its environment and its integration with the taken images. This allows not only to have a visual and geometric inventory, but the possibility of inventorying any element of the road network properly geo-referenced and of making any measurement that was necessary on the cloud of obtained points.

    This tool is aimed to road networks managers, which may inventory the state of the road and its elements visually and geometrically. They may also consult and exploit the data quickly and conveniently from anywhere and in many cases avoiding road trips. As shown technology allows data capture to speed traffic, obtaining high yields and with little interference as traffic and road safety. All this results in optimizing resources and costs associated with road maintenance.
