The two companies will share a stand to present a comprehensive joint test offering for vehicle electronics, batteries, structures, components, materials and cybersecurity.
Automotive Testing Expo, which will take place in Stuttgart from 21st -23rd June, is one of the main events for the automotive sector in Europe. It also sets up a unique opportunity to present a comprehensive joint offering from Applus+ Laboratories and IMA Dresden, following the German laboratory’s incorporation into Applus+ in May 2021.
Experts from both companies will be exhibiting together, live and direct, from Booth 1622.
Synergies in service portfolios for product development and validation
The merger with IMA Dresden has given both companies an enhanced test offering for many industries, but the synergies with the automotive services are arguably more evident than any others.
Until now, as Applus+ Laboratories we have been recognized as one of Europe’s leading testing providers for vehicle electronics, whether for EV, hybrid or combustion vehicles. Our network of laboratories boasts unique capabilities in EMC and environmental testing, which we enhanced with an extensive new semi-anechoic chamber for full-vehicle testing earlier this year, as well as new test equipment for e-motors and battery packs. Our engineers also develop ad-hoc test systems for our clients to meet specific requirements. On top of this, our cybersecurity team have been building a reputation for their services supporting automotive manufacturers to safeguard against new cyber threats.
In contrast, the team at IMA Dresden have stood out more for their mechanical and environmental testing of structures, materials, and other electrical components. The Dresden lab has differential expertise in fatigue testing, MAST testing, fluid technologies, and environmental simulation, which allow its clients to understand the true limits of their parts so they can design and improve them accordingly.
