With more than 15 years of experience in providing renewable energy services in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Applus+ supported over 60 renewable projects.
Alvaro Velasco, Applus+ Regional Manager LATAM for Renewable Energy Services has talked to the specialized magazine Energía Estratégica to provide an overview of Applus+ involvement in several solar, energy storage (BESS) and wind projects and how our expertise is contributing to the development of this industry and the transition towards a sustainable energy model in the Latin American region.
Applus+ offers a comprehensive portfolio of services to PV, wind, and BESS projects ranging from owners engineering, as we did for the Sajoma PV plant in the Dominican Republic, to environmental monitoring systems for projects such as Paraíso, El Paso, Guayepo I – II and la Loma in Colombia. We also provided infrastructure construction supervision to the biggest solar power plant in Chile, the 480 MW Maria Elena plant.
The article also mentions the recent acquisition of Barlovento, which brings its vast experience in wind services in Europe and the US. It also highlights Applus+ capacity to offer support to every stage of the renewables project, with services ranging from the planning phase with solar consulting or solar engineering design to the construction phase, where we can provide support with construction occupational health and safety or solar QA/QC.
