At the Energy and Industry Division, we leverage technologies, including data science tools and machine learning models, to process and analyse data for evaluating solar modules’ performance over time. Our PV Mobile Lab, a testing facility for solar photovoltaic modules, eliminates the risks associated with transportation while minimising downtime. Recently, two new units of the Enertis Applus+ PV Mobile Lab have been deployed in Australia and Brazil. This service for solar testing is now available in these countries along with Chile, Mexico and Europe, further advancing solar photovoltaic energy production on a global scale.
Applus+ Laboratories verifies projects aimed at reducing emissions. One standout initiative is the “Uplifting Communities through Clean Energy in the Democratic Republic of Congo” project, in which Applus+ participated in its validation and verification under the Gold Standard, an internationally recognised scheme. The purpose of the project is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by promoting the use of efficient products and clean energy sources, such as stoves and electric lamps, in households across the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Applus+ Automotive has announced the completion of its renewable energy initiative across the region of A Coruña, reaffirming its commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable future. As part of this initiative, we have installed photovoltaic panels and charging points for hybrid and electric vehicles at our stations in Tambre, Sabón, Cacheiras, Ferrol, Ribeira, O Allo, Sionlla and Espíritu Santo, bringing sustainability and innovation directly to our customers. To support the growing adoption of sustainable mobility, we have located 19 free charging points for hybrid and electric vehicles. These stations, offering power outputs of 50 kW and 7.4 kW, allow customers to charge their vehicles while undergoing their vehicle inspections.
At Applus+ IDIADA, we are taking decisive steps to support the automotive industry's transition towards cleaner energy solutions. Our most recent hydrogen vehicle testing facility boasts capabilities for comprehensive testing and represents a significant advancement in making clean energy vehicles more accessible to the public. By supporting manufacturers in developing and validating these vehicles, we help ensure that tomorrow's clean transportation options are not only environmentally friendly but also safe, reliable and practical for everyday use.
