APPLUS+ is an authorized body from GOEIC, the Egyptian General Organization for Export and Import Control, to issue related Certificates of Conformity (COC) / Certificates of Inspection for goods to be exported to Egypt.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry in Egypt issued a series of ministerial decrees in 2015 and 2016, which introduced significant changes to import clearance procedures. In particular, factories, manufacturers, or trademark owners of regulated products must now register with Egypt’s General Authority for Exports and Imports Control (GOEIC) to continue exporting to Egypt.
We are authorized to issue the Certificate of Conformity (COC) for exports to Egypt for the following regulated products, ensuring compliance with the relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards:
• Home cooking appliances
• Gas-powered household appliances
• Tableware, ceramic utensils, and plastic cooking products in contact with food
• Electric iron
• Frying pans
• Dishwashers
• Batteries
• Lighting.
• Kitchen appliances and multi-purpose electric cookware
• Grills
• Commercial electric toasters
• Insulating transformers
• Electric lamps
• Children's toys
• Refrigeration devices
• Electric grills
• Electric frying pans
Mandatory requirements to initiate the certification process are the following:
• Request Form Applus+ filled correctly. (recommended)
• Invoice/proforma (Value FOB included)
• Packing List.
• HS codes accordingly (preferably, HS code should be included in the product invoice)
• Conformity documents: technical sheets, laboratory test reports issued by ISO17025 accredited laboratory, quality certificates, etc
Applus+ offers a comprehensive range of Verification of Conformity (VoC) programs, including those for Algeria, Botswana, Iraq, Morocco, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Each program is designed to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in accordance with the regulations of the importing country. These programs serve to safeguard consumers from hazardous and non-compliant products, expedite customs clearance, and confirm the conformity of imported goods.
