Applus+ in Malaysia completes tube inspections for Petronas Chemicals during october shutdown

The team in Malaysia carried out an extensive suite of Tube Inspection services, including:

• Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
• Remote Field Eddy Current Testing (RFET)
• Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)
• Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS)

These advanced techniques were deployed to assess the condition of heat exchanger tubes, ensuring that any potential defects were identified and addressed to maintain the plants' high operational standards.

• Tube Inspection Interpreters/Analysts who interpreted data collected from site inspections and submitted daily reports to the client.
• Tube Inspection Operators/Data Collectors responsible for setting up the main inspection systems, collecting data using ECT, RFET, MFL, and IRIS, and working closely with the analytical team.
• Tube Inspection Assistants who supported the operators/data collectors on-site.
• A Project Management and Engineering Team, including a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Coordinator, who liaised with the client and ensured smooth operations.
• Safety Officers and Document Controllers to maintain safety standards and ensure accurate documentation throughout the project.
• Logistics Coordinators who managed equipment and PPE tracking, ensuring everything required for the inspections was on hand and operational.
