Applus+ in China conducts inspection for distributed photovoltaic power station in Liaoning Province

09/12/2024

Applus+ recently completed the inspection of a large-scale distributed photovoltaic (PV) power station in Liaoning Province, China. Commissioned by China Energy Liaoning New Energy Co., Ltd., this project was awarded to Applus+ in China by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. With an ambitious planned capacity of 200MWp, the solar PV station spans ten cities. It includes over ten thousand photovoltaic modules, making it a vital component of the region's renewable energy framework.

Applus+ was commissioned to inspect the newly installed panels before they were brought into operation. The project required inspections of all PV modules within a tight two-month timeframe, a challenge that demanded precise logistics and seamless coordination. The Applus+ team in China carried out specialized solar PV inspection with electroluminescence (EL) equipment at multiple locations, navigating complex module layouts and space constraints with expertise and efficiency.

Conducting these inspections with portable equipment in an already-assembled site required flexibility, and our engineers rose to the occasion, managing the limited workspace and delivering a comprehensive inspection under challenging conditions.

Applus+ offers a wide range of services for solar power plants, including solar consulting, engineering design, inspection, and solar quality assurance and quality control programs, along with advanced PV technologies, to maximize profitability and minimize risks.

By supporting the renewable energy infrastructure in Liaoning Province, Applus+ reinforces its commitment to environmental responsibility, helping to advance sustainable energy solutions that reduce carbon footprints and promote cleaner energy sources in line with global climate goals.
