On January 29th, 2024, at the Intercity Hotel in Muscat, Oman, Applus+ Oman, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services, commenced its silver jubilee celebrations with an array of cutting-edge technologies in the esteemed presence of its loyal partner, "The OHI Group"!
Brian Dawes, Executive Vice President of Applus+ Asia, Middle East & Africa, opened the festivities with a compelling address, acquainting attendees with the company's recent accomplishments and its prominent position in the TIC sector globally. Dawes proceeded with a presentation highlighting Applus+'s latest advanced technologies in development.
Wadie Derbel, Country Manager Oman, reflected on the remarkable journey of Applus+ Oman over the past 25 years, expressing aspirations for continued growth and enhanced customer experiences in the post-COVID era. Memorable milestones of Applus+ Oman were showcased during Derbel's presentation, evoking nostalgia among the guests.
The focal point of the event was the presentation and workshop on "Applus+ New Advanced NDT Technology," featuring interactive sessions and client engagement with questionnaires. The presence of experts from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) added significant value to the discussions. The presentation delved into the future with Applus+ Technologies such as DTI, PIT, RTR, IWEX, and HEX, led by Applus+ NDT experts Mr. Ruan, Mr. Shailendra, and Mr. Acharya.
The event not only marked the graduation ceremony of a batch that began training in December 2021 but also underscored Applus+ Oman's commitment to In-Country Value (ICV). Over the past 20 years, a total of 200 Omani engineers have successfully completed our comprehensive training programs. These programs encompassed classroom instruction and on-the-job experience, resulting in graduates obtaining international certifications in Non-Destructive Testing methods, Materials Inspection, Welding Inspection, Painting inspection, and API/ISO awareness. Certificates were presented to the Omani Graduates by Mr. Brian and Mr. Guillermo, Executive Vice President – Asia, Middle East & Africa.
The celebration was attended by over 200 loyal clients of Applus+ Oman from various business sectors, underscoring the company's commitment to excellence and its motto, "together beyond standards." Applus+ Oman's dedication to innovation, excellence, and nurturing local talent continues to set new benchmarks in the global TIC industry.
