For over two decades we have offered guidance to various organizations through our expertise in Biodiversity Assessment and Biodiversity Conservation Services across terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

According to the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, the main goals are to protect and restore nature, to strengthen a transformative change in biodiversity governance, and to contribute to reinforcing the value and importance of biodiversity for society and the economy. 

Our goal is to provide advice to companies and organizations to allow the incorporation of the numerous resources and benefits obtained from nature and their services into decision-making processes, and to promote and drive the integration of natural capital, the valuation of ecosystem services, and the transition towards sustainability.

Applus+ has a broad range of technicians specialized in the natural environment, with great experience and local implementation, who evaluate effectively the potential impacts of a project considering existing ecosystems and are aware of the technical criteria demanded by the different authorities.

We have a wide network of well-known collaborators specialized in the scientific and technical sphere, which allows us to carry out very specific studies on flora, fauna, habitats, and ecosystems, including the marine environment.

We perform flora and fauna studies, biodiversity baseline calculations, identification, assessment and works for habitat conservation, avifauna studies, calculation of specific indicators, and environmental inventories in terms of natural heritage and its biodiversity through fieldwork (censuses, camera traps, footprints, etc.), preparation of biodiversity management plans, biodiversity evaluation in restored spaces, invasive species follow-up and control studies, referenced cartography, landscape studies, territory hosting capacity studies, specific environmental cartography, and forest mass audits.

Our accredited Chemical and Biological Analyses Laboratories take seawater samples and identify and quantify phytoplankton in marine waters and benthic macroinvertebrates in marine sediments (environmental status).
