Nowadays, many organizations are concerned with achieving and demonstrating sound environmental practices by controlling the impact their activities, products or services have on the environment. Many also have to deal with stringent legislation, economic policies and other measures in place for environmental protection. In addition, general public concern about environmental matters, including sustainable development, is on the rise. As such, many organizations have environmental management systems in place to guide their operations.
We are accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Center (EIAC, former Dubai Accreditation Department-DAC) and the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) in accordance with international guidelines for certification body accreditation by the International Accreditation Forum. An external audit should be carried out by an independent party such as Applus+ Velosi. We are accredited by DAC (EIAC) and JAS-ANZ in accordance with international guidelines for certification body accreditation by the International Accreditation Forum.
Applus+ Velosi will initially carry out a review of the EMS manuals and procedures by looking at the written environmental system and ascertaining if targets set are measurable and achievable. This review is followed by an on-site audit to ensure that working practices follow the procedures and stated objectives and that appropriate records are kept. After a successful audit, an ISO 14001 registration certificate will be issued.
