Applus+ in KSA contributes to successful Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services' (MoTLS) annual road safety campaign

    Applus+ in Saudi Arabia is proud to have played a pivotal role in the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services' (MoTLS) annual Road Safety campaign. The week long campaign saw teams of engineers organized by the MoTLS reported on safety defects along the city's roads. This approach aimed to promptly rectify identified issues, ensuring the restoration of optimal road safety levels for all users.

    The official launch of the Campaign was conducted at a special event attended by H.E Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, H.E. Eng. Badr Abdullah Al-Dulami the Vice Minister at the Ministry of Transport, H.E. Eng. Tareq bin Ziyad Al Shami the Deputy Minister of Transport for Road Operation and Maintenance, and H.E Dr. Zaid M. Alyami the Director of the General Department of Assets Management.

    They emphasized the importance of road safety alongside Applus+ team, who serve as quality control consultants for the MoTLS, contributing significantly to progress in road safety, to senior members of the Saudi Police.

    Applus+’s use of artificial intelligence as part of inspection data management for driven road asset collection services for the Ministry was demonstrated during the event. This involved presentations featuring videos illustrating KSA roads and the asset collection process, complemented by a live demonstration where the Vice Minister experienced firsthand the assets collected on a specific road.
