Applus+ successfully completed a wide-ranging pipeline inspection at a large refinery in Oman during a shutdown in operations. The refinery is owned by one of the Middle East’s biggest and fastest-growing oil and gas companies.
This project involved one of the biggest refinery closures in the world. Over the course of 40 days, 54 teams from a range of countries inspected approximately 358 heat exchangers. In total, more than 130 people took part in the project – including five Applus+ technicians based in Oman and a wide-range of Applus+ equipment. Our team worked in collaboration with teams from other companies and countries.
During this project, Applus+ helped to mobilise teams from different countries and geographical regions, managing people with very different professional profiles. Thanks to our company’s vast experience of overseeing international projects, the team from Applus+ in Oman not only succeeded in meeting client expectations, but also obtained a significant new achievement that will help us to secure future projects in other parts of the world.
