Applus+ Velosi in the UAE Celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Every October, the world celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this time, events are held across the world to increase attention and support for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer.

Applus+ Velosi in the UAE understands the importance of educating otheir employees about the disease and how it could affect their lives and the lives of their loved ones. The UAE team held a Breast Cancer Awareness Event to ensure that their employees are well informed.

The program was supported by the company’s medical insurance provider Daman Insurance, who offered free health screenings for all employees. Separate talks and Q&A sessions were held for male and female employees which encouraged them to speak openly about the topic and to learn more about breast and prostate cancer.

This event witnessed high levels of participation from the employees at the Abu Dhabi office, where each individual employee got a chance to meet privately with a medical practitioner to discuss their personal health concerns and to clarify any doubts associated with their health screening results, as well as to ask further questions regarding breast and prostate cancer.
