The Certificate of Conformity (COC) for Algeria confirms that goods entering the country comply with consumer quality and safety requirements. This certificate is a mandatory document for customs clearance in Algeria and must be obtained for each shipment.
Applus+ has the ISO17020 accreditation with the scope AGREAGE DES PRODUITS MANUFACTURES in Algeria granted by ALGERAC (Algerian Accreditation Body), which authorizes us to issue the Certificate of Conformity for goods entering into the local market.
In March 2011, the Algerian Ministry of Commerce published a notice addressed to all importers reminding them of the obligation to present a certificate of conformity for all shipments entering Algerian territory.
This obligation is governed by Law 09-03 of 25/02/2009 on consumer protection and antifraud and by Decree 05-467 of 10/12/2005, which sets out the conditions and methods of control to ensure the conformity of the imported products.
Applus+ is an ISO17020-accredited body in Algeria and is able to issue Certificates of Conformity or Quality Certificates for exports to Algeria.
To import any regulated product to Algeria, you must hold a document of conformity (Quality Certificate) issued by an authorized Inspection and Certification Body.
