Applus+ secures 2-year contract renewal with an international chemical company in the United Kingdom

Applus+ has performed a maintenance contract with this client for over 10 years, undertaking an extensive range of site services including Rope Access, Fabric Maintenance, Non-Destructive Testing, Rigging and Lifting, Thermal Insulation, Safety Standby and Geotechnical Services. Our multi-skilled Rope Access personnel have successfully expanded our service offering to this client with over 30 Rope Access operatives across all the customer’s assets. 

With Applus+ now officially appointed as the specialist contractor for works at height for this client, Applus+’ personnel will oversee all personnel working on the 85-metre flare for the duration of operations, including the upcoming shutdown. During the shutdown, Applus+ will provide up to 20 multi-skilled Rope Access personnel working both day and night shifts to deliver this highly complex and challenging work scope.               
In addition to this role, Applus+ personnel will undertake the insulation remediation on the main steam riser, remove/reinstate redundant thermocouples, assist with aerial rigging operations to remove flare tip and provide 24-hour Emergency Response cover for all personnel accessing the main flare.
