In the ever-changing landscape of legal requirements and technical standards, the importance of permanent bonding methods cannot be overstated. These methods and the people who perform them must be qualified by an independent, impartial and competent party.
Since April 17, 2023, the following obligations for EU conformity assessment bodies (EU-CBI or Notified Body) apply in this regard in European countries and PED accepted countries (UK):
Applus+ is one of the few conformity assessment bodies that is accredited under both standards by the Council for Accreditation (I251 and C692). Unlike several other bodies, we are thus not dependent on an accreditation obtained elsewhere by a partner or sister organization, with the main advantages being relatively short lead times and lines of communication.
Renewal of a personal certificate issued by another party is possible. For this we need to convert the certificate and register it within our quality management system. This means that we issue a new certificate in our house style.
Why choose Applus+?
1. Dual accreditation: We are one of the few conformity assessment bodies accredited by the Council for Accreditation under both ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17024 (I251 and C692).
2. Independence: Unlike some peers, we do not rely on external accreditations from partner organizations. This independence translates into streamlined processes and efficient communication.
3. Comprehensive services:
