Applus+ in the UK has been awarded the Gold ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) Skills and Training Charter Membership. This is the highest rank of membership a company can receive for meeting the skills and standards of the engineering construction industry.

Applus+ is keen to keep working together with ECITB to develop the skills of its employees, in order to meet the long-term needs of the engineering construction industry. The ECITB works with employers and training providers to attract, develop, and qualify the engineering construction workforce in a wide range of craft, technical, and professional disciplines. The ECITB works to ensure the UK has workers with the skills needed by the engineering construction industry, designing and awarding a wide range of qualifications covering craft, technical and managerial disciplines. They are responsible for developing and maintaining National Occupational Standards for the industry.

Applus+ identifies the training and development requirements of its existing workforce to ensure future workload needs are met, building individual capability; recognises and plans for future capacity requirements; and recruits and trains sufficient individuals to meet present and future workload demands. Currently, Applus+ has 20 trainees working on NDT, admin, and leadership apprenticeships in the UK.

Applus+ in the UK will actively continue to drive the skills' agenda in partnership with the ECITB to secure the ECI skills and competencies for the future.
